My broadcasting background includes being a Pittsburgh reporter for CBS Radio, while at WEDO Radio, an American correspondent for Radio 77 in Melbourne, Australia. That was an experience in itself, since I would be reporting live from Western PA at around 3:00 am our time, and it was afternoon rush hour there. Loved conversing with the on air people there with their accents. I have also been a  correspondent covering professional, amateur and high school hockey for WJPA in Washington, and most recently a reporter, editor and anchor for KQV Newsradio in Pittsburgh. I've been a freelance writer for Peters Township Magazine and the Washington County Business Journal for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. I also write for a newsletter of Laurel Business Institute.

I have covered major stories and political figures in the Metropolitan Pittsburgh Region over my entire career, including Presidential campaigns and events such as the G-20 Summit.

As a sports journalist, I've covered the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins for the past three decades and is an accredited journalist with the National Hockey League and the NCAA.

Since leaving broadcasting on a full-time basis, I have been enjoying life as a writer and photographer. I serve on several non-profit boards and am active as a volunteer to charitable causes.

I have always had a love of railroads and trains, and if I could have any other career it would have been a locomotive engineer. I probably have thousands of train photos I have taken over the years.

Otherwise, I've got a tremendous love for animals. I wish I could rescue them all from the animal shelters and give them loving homes.

My son, Tim, is a professional journalist as well, and his twin sister, Molly has been a substitute teacher in several of the Peters Township schools. My youngest son, Ben, is a freshman music, voice and organ major at IUP.

I reside with my wife, Marta, a licensed professional counselor, with our children (when they're home) and our three very favorite Welsh Corgis, Pete, Susie and Wilson (we rescued him from a puppy mill).
