Bower Hill Reopens After Tanker Spill
A tanker spill in Bridgeville on Friday afternoon closed Bower Hill Road near McLaughlin Run for two hours. The road reopened around 4:30 p.m.
UPDATE: 4:50 p.m. - Bower Hill Road reopened to traffic around 4:30 p.m. A tanker truck crash in Bridgeville is causing traffic back-ups on a busy road many Upper St. Clair residents use. Bridgeville police said the tanker crashed at Bower Hill and McLaughlin Run roads around 2:25 p.m. Friday, forcing them to close the intersection. It's not known how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured. The tanker is leaking either fuel or oil, so a hazardous material crew has been called to the scene to assist in the clean up.
