Upper St. Clair police report the woman used the 73-year-old man's credit card.
Upper St. Clair police accuse a Crafton woman of making $3,100 of unauthorized charges on a 73-year-old stroke victim's credit card. Jennifer S. Mrozek, 28, is charged with one count of forgery and one count of access device fraud. According to the criminal complaint, Mrozek befriended the Upper St. Clair man as he was trying to assist her with some personal issues. The man allegedly let Mrozek use the credit card to purchase cigarettes and ice cream. She then returned the card, but it later went missing from the victim's wallet, according to the complaint. When it reappeared, the man's statement allegedly showed $3,100 in charges. Mrozek's preliminary hearing in front of district Judge Robert Wyda on Monday was continued for 30 days. …

Upper St. Clair police investigated two separate theft cases from local homes.
A babysitter accused of stealing jewelry and checks from an Upper St. Clair home has agreed to a plea deal. Kaylin Lyon, 18, agreed to a summary disorderly conduct charge last Monday in district Judge Robert Wyda's courtroom. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Upper St. Clair police, an Upper St. Clair family accused Lyon of stealing $4,000 in jewelry and taking and cashing two of their checks. They noticed the items missing after she babysat their 2 year old. Police stated she sold the jewelry for $315 at Yuriy's Jewelry at Robinson Mall. District Judge Robert Wyda sent a Pittsburgh woman to the Allegheny County Jail Monday after he discovered two outstanding bench warrants for her arrest during a preliminary hearing. Jenauba Lipford, 22, of 307 Arabella St., Pittsburgh, PA 15210, is charged with stealing items from the South Hills Village Macy's on Dec. 24, 2010 and April 1, 2011. In the latest case filed by the Bethel Park police, officers stated Lipford tried to steal more than $500 worth of Polo hats, shirts and a pair of pants. In addition, Wyda discovered that Lipford failed to appear to two separate retail theft hearings with district Judges Thomas Torkowsky in Homestead and Suzanne Blaschak in West Deer. Wyda increased Lipford's bail by $1,000 to $6,000. She was …
