Babysitter and Pet Sitter Charged With Theft
Upper St. Clair police investigated two separate theft cases from local homes.
A babysitter accused of stealing jewelry and checks from an Upper St. Clair home has agreed to a plea deal. Kaylin Lyon, 18, agreed to a summary disorderly conduct charge last Monday in district Judge Robert Wyda's courtroom. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Upper St. Clair police, an Upper St. Clair family accused Lyon of stealing $4,000 in jewelry and taking and cashing two of their checks. They noticed the items missing after she babysat their 2 year old. Police stated she sold the jewelry for $315 at Yuriy's Jewelry at Robinson Mall.
