Unsolved Cases: Taylor Murphy Went Missing in September

The teen might still be in the Pittsburgh area.

Taylor Murphy, 17, has been missing from Wilkinsburg since Sept. 20. Authorities believe she could still be in the Pittsburgh area. She is classified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as an endangered runaway. Taylor is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall; 140 pounds; with black hair and brown eyes; and having a tattoo on her upper arm. She will turn 18 on Jan. 23. Police Capture Five of Six Teens Suspected in Limo Hijacking

Police are still searching for an 18-year-old runaway from the Mars Home for Youth on Wednesday.

After a confession by one of the teens, five of the six teens who are accused of hijacking a limo after running away from the Mars Home for Youth Wednesday are back in custody today. Adams Township Police Chief Bill Westerman said police are continuing to look for one 18-year-old youth who remains on the lam. Pittsburgh Police found four of the teens, ages 15 to 17, hanging out near the stolen limo on Pittsburgh’s North Side during the night.  Westerman said he did not know what time the teens were apprehended. A juvenile probation officer brought them back to the Adams Township police department for questioning, he said.
