UPDATED: Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-79 Now Cleared

Editor's Note: This story was updated at 11:45 a.m. A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 79 Southbound near the Canonsburg exit that shut the roadway down to one lane has been cleared, a state Department of Transportation spokeswoman said. "There are cars out there all over the place," a 911 supervisor confirmed. It was not immediately known if there were injuries in the crash. Nancy, That is a moron comment, the snow didn't start until 9:30AM or so. The salt trucks get stuck in the traffic behind or between all of the cars that don't need to be out in the snowstorm. And a large portion of them do not have snow tires and some of them have trouble driving in clear dry weather , let alone in a snow storm.
