New Upper St. Clair Target Opens

Patch got a sneak peek of the store Tuesday, March 5.

Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park officials joined employees and VIGs (Very Important Guests) in celebrating the opening of the new South Hills Village Target Tuesday night. "The overall area is going to benefit from this," said Bob Orchowski, president of the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners. "I'm certain Target's going to be a great addition. Thank you and welcome." The Upper St. Clair Target is one step below a Super Target. It includes a Starbucks and a grocery area with fresh produce. The store is open to the public on March 6. Its grand opening is March 10. The store is on the first floor of the former Boscov's, a building that remained vacant for years. Along with Orchowski, Bethel Park Mayor Clifford Morton, U.S. Rep. Upper St. Clair Target Almost Ready To Open

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned early March.

The new Target at South Hills Village will open its doors for the first time on March 5, according to a Target official. The evening event is invitation only. The store will then have a soft opening on March 6 and a grand opening on March 10. There are still about 30 to 50 positions Target officials are looking to fill, according to WTAE. Anyone who's interested in a job should apply at Target.com/careers. Target renovated and added on to the bottom level of the former Boscov's. A new Dick's Sporting Goods occupies the top two floors.
