Upper St. Clair Principal Announces Retirement

What you missed during this week's school board meeting.

Boyce Middle School Principal Karen Brown has announced her plans to retire at the end of the school year. Brown's last day will be June 28. She has been with Upper St. Clair School District for 38 years. The district will begin its search for Brown's replacement in February. Superintendent Patrick O'Toole anticipates having Brown's replacement ready to go by June 28. New Spanish Teacher O'Toole is requesting school directors approve the hiring of a new Spanish teacher for the second semester at Upper St. Clair High School. School directors will vote at their next meeting on Jan. 28. Non-Represented Staff Pay Increase O'Toole is also recommending school directors approve a pay increase for 25 staff members who are not part of a union. He's…

I too wish things were being reported correctly. For example The Insider stated that administration has taken concessions the last two years which is inaccurate. The USC administrators have contributed nothing to the efforts to solve the debt problems in the district.   more ›
