The facility is proposed for North Highland Road.
Upper St. Clair commissioners established an April 1 public hearing for the applicant trying to bring The Goddard School to the township. Commissioners will hear public testimony on a proposal to amend the township's zoning law to allow a daycare facility to be built at 1630 North Highland Rd. The location is behind the Trader Joe's and Chick-fil-A, and next to KinderCare of Mt. Lebanon. The township's current zoning does not allow daycare facilities on the property. The Goddard School would like to demolish the existing house at 1630 North Highland Rd. and build a daycare center. The problem? The property is .994 acres and the existing law in Upper St. Clair requires 1 acre of land for a daycare center. The landowner, Alex Bunson, will meet with township staff in the next month. The planning commission is expected to again take up the issue on Jan. 17. The proposed new daycare center sits next to the existing KinderCare of Mt. Lebanon on North Highland Road. Bob Santo, owner of the Goddard School in Peters Township, told planning commissioners in …

What is utterly amazIng to me is the number of people who comment on a subject like this and know nothing about it! Attend the meetings and educate yourself before you make foolish statements no matter which side you fall on. Apathy is contagious!   more ›
