Theft Suspect Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charge

The latest from the office of Magisterial District Judge Robert Wyda.

A man accused of stealing an Upper St. Clair woman's wallet and using her credit card pleaded to a lesser summary disorderly conduct charge and paid back the victim on Monday in district Judge Robert Wyda's courtroom. Thomas J. Reiber, 32, of 110 Broughton Rd. Bethel Park, was originally charged with one count theft by unlawful taking and one count access device fraud. According to the criminal complaint filed by the Upper St. Clair police, a woman living at a home on Montclair Drive noticed her Coach wallet missing from her purse the morning of Sept. 26—about one hour after workmen arrived at her house.
