The Siena at St. Clair development will be introduced to the Upper St. Clair Planning Commission Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.
Plans for a Whole Foods Market, townhomes, shopping and officer center on the corner of Fort Couch and Washington roads will be presented to the Upper St. Clair Planning Commission Thursday night. Several tenants are working with the developers, including a drive-through Starbucks and a Burgatory, according to the Tribune Review. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building. Owner Penny Folino said she was forced out of her lease after a rise in rent and is now looking to open a restaurant in Upper St. Clair or Bethel Park.
The smell of Penny's Famous Stuffed Croissant French Toast isn't wafting through Lakeside Plaza in Peters Township the way it normally does. Owner Penny Folino posted a sign on the door of the restaurant explaining the diner was forced out of its lease due to an unaffordable rise in rent. It closes after two years of operation in the McMurray location. Folino wrote that the business is looking for a new space effective immediately. In an exclusive interview with Patch on Saturday, she explained what happened in recent years with her diners, including the hotspot location in South Side. “A couple of years ago I was going through a divorce, which is now finalized,” she said. “My ex-husband was running everything. The coffee giant is offering two holiday drinks for the price of one through Sunday.
Did you know that Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee each day? According to CoffeeStatistics.com, that’s the equivalent of 146 billion cups a year. Starbucks is making the holiday season a little perkier for all those coffee lovers with a special BOGO deal starting Thursday and lasting through Sunday, Nov. 20. From 2 to 5 p.m. on those days, Starbucks patrons will get a second free holiday beverage when they buy the first one. The BOGO deal is good on several holiday drinks, including the peppermint mocha in regular and “skinny” versions, caramel brulée latte, gingerbread latte and the company’s standing holiday tradition, the eggnog latte.
