Where's Santa? Track Him Live from Upper St. Clair

The North American Aerospace Defense Command has a website that now offers a Santa tracker mobile app to follow the jolly man's magical flight.

They sent him their wish lists, sat on his lap, and left cookies and milk for his arrival. Now the only thing left for children to do is track Santa's progress as he delivers gifts around the world on Christmas Eve. Thanks to the folks behind the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) website, families worldwide can now follow Santa's Christmas journey in real time. The tradition started in 1955 after an advertisement for Sears Roebuck & Co. misprinted a telephone number for a special "Santa hotline." Patch: What have been the most popular gift requests this year? Santa: Electronics. iPods, iPhone 5s, mini iPads, everything. Patch: How have gift requests changed over the years? Attention Kids: Watch For Santa This Saturday

And he'll be riding behind a fire engine!

It's that time of year again! The Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department will be helping Santa Claus around the township and handing out candy to children from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15. All you have to do is keep an ear out for the fire engine siren to sound in your neighborhood and bring your children to the curb. You will get treats and a chance to take pictures and say hello. More Than 400 Attend 'Holidays at the CR&C'

The Upper St. Clair Community and Recreation Center held its second annual holiday event on Saturday.

The Upper St. Clair Community and Recreation Center reports a great turnout for the second annual "Holidays at the C&RC." More than 400 people attended the event on Saturday. The event featured a visit from Santa Claus, free sweet treats, craft projects and a concert with the Community Band South under the direction of James Bennett and Dean Streator, the 40-member Fort Couch Middle School Chorus, Women's Ensemble under the direction of Tom Hunsberger and the Center for Theater Arts under the direction of Billy Hartung. Get a Letter From Santa Through US Postal Service Program

Your good little boys and girls will receive a letter postmarked from the North Pole.

Dutiful little boys and girls writing a wish list to Santa this holiday season can get a unique response from the big guy himself, postmarked from the North Pole. And all it takes is a little help from the post office—and you. The US Postal Service is once again keeping the magic of Santa Claus alive through its “Letter from Santa” program. Children with Special Needs Invited to Caring Santa Event

A private Santa Claus visit with no distractions is planned at South Hills Village.

Children with special needs are invited to a special, private visit on Sunday with the South Hills Village Santa Claus. The Caring Santa event will take place 9 a.m.—before the mall opens to the public—to provide a subdued environment to visit the Santa Photo Experience. Along with an early opening, many other steps are taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for the children’s magical visit with Santa. You're Invited: Holidays at the Community and Recreation Center

Crafts, a concert and a visit from Mr. Claus will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1.

'Tis the season! Upper St. Clair residents and the surrounding area are invited to celebrate the Holidays at the Community and Recreation Center on Saturday, Dec. 1. The fun begins wiht free sweet treats and arts and crafts at 11 a.m. Then—rumor has it—Santa Claus will be visiting for an hour starting at 11:30 a.m. (I hope you've been nice). At noon, families can enjoy a free family concert and singalong with the Community Band South under the direction of James Bennett and Dean Streator and the 40-member Fort Couch Middle School Chorus and Women's Ensemble under the direction of Tom Hunsberger. Celebrate Light Up Night a Night Early

Norman Centre is holding a Light Up Night celebration on Thursday, Nov. 15.

Celebrate Light Up Night a night early this year! Norman Centre in Bethel Park is holding its first annual Light Up Night celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. There will be holiday music, refreshments and a special appearance by Santa Claus in the Pier 1 Imports parking lot. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift to contribute to a Children's Hospital toy drive. The 52nd Annual Light Up Night in downtown Pittsburgh is Friday, Nov. 16.
