Township Plans to Resurface 16 Roads in 2013

Commissioners awarded a bid of $1.022 million to El Grande Industries on Monday night.

The Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners awarded a bid for $1.022 million to El Grande Industries Monday night for the 2013 resurfacing program. The bid came under the $1.2 million the commissioners budgeted for the project this year. The list of roads to be resurfaced was developed based on a rating system that looks at road usage, the last year it was paved, the condition, the public input and other similar factors. This list could be changed, especially after the freeze-thaw cycle in the spring. There are also tentative plans to resurface the municipal basketball courts and the Baker Park tennis courts—with pickleball lines.
