Budget and Finance Committee Meeting on Monday
An agenda will be finalized Friday afternoon.
The Budget and Finance Committee of the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 at the municipal building. The committee might discuss a possible rate increase for members of the Community and Recreation Center, among other 2013 budget topics, although an agenda has not been finalized. The Parks and Recreation Committee will meet at a later date to decide if they will recommend to the commissioners a rate increase for C&RC members, according to township Manager Matthew Serakowski. I am tired of hearing how the entire community has benefited from the C&RC. Unless you are a member you derive no benefit from it but you still have to pay additional property taxes to sustain it. Instead of the membership rates being increased they should be cut in half which would increase the membership rolls and enable all the residents to benefit from it! more ›
