Judge to Students: National Weed Day Is 'Blatantly Illegal'
Friday, April 20, also referred to as 4/20, is National Pot Smoking Day among marijuana users.
April 20, or 4/20, is known among marijuana users as National Pot Smoking Day or National Weed Day— a day to celebrate and smoke marijuana in defiance of the law and authorities. Some students in Upper St. Clair have been talking about the "wake and bake" day on Twitter—even posting pictures of the high school menu for April 20, noting it has more food items on it than other days. Superintendent Patrick O'Toole said there are no special plans in place beyond the district's standard vigilance to prevent anyone coming to school "high" on Friday. Like you, I use "hate" to describe my feelings towards drugs and what it has done to many people that I have known.
