Unsolved Cases: Woman Goes Missing, Family Receives Threatening Calls

Amy L. Pugner chatted on the phone with her sister as she was painting her new apartment in Washington, Pa., where she had recently moved, on June 8, 2010. That was the last time Amy's sister spoke with her. Amy, a Latrobe native, had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and had a history of drug abuse. Her family considered the move a good thing—something that seemed to indicate that Amy, was getting her life together, leaving her demons behind and heading in the right direction. No one is sure when Amy was last seen, but likely it was June 9 or 10, 2010. UPDATE: Woman Reported Missing on New Year's Now Found

Joan Lynn Meissonier, 59, of Castle Shannon, who had been missing since New Year's Day, was found in East Liberty on Thursday afternoon.

UPDATE: (Jan. 3 - 4:30 p.m.): According to Castle Shannon police, Joan Lynn Meissonier was found in Pittsburgh's East Liberty area on Thursday afternoon by an acquaintance who then notified a family member. A woman missing from Castle Shannon Borough could be in danger, according to the Castle Shannon police website. Joan Lynn Meissonier, 59, was last seen yesterday, Jan. 1, around 2 p.m. According to the report, she is not carrying her medication, her purse or any identification. Meissonier is described as 5'5" and weighing about 120 pounds. She has green eyes, dark brown shoulder-length hair, and may be wearing tennis shoes and a black winter coat. She has told her family that she wanted to live on the streets, according to reports from …

Man Sought for Questioning in Woman's Death Taken into Custody

State police announced early on Friday that Jordan Clemons was under arrest.

A former Canonsburg Borough man wanted for questioning in the killing of Baldwin Borough woman Karissa Kunco has been taken into custody. State police said in a press release that Jordan Clemons was arrested on outstanding burglary and probation violation warrants late on Thursday.

Body Found in Mt. Pleasant Township

State police said that a body was found on Thursday afternoon on Sabo Road near Westland Road.

A body was found on Thursday afternoon in a heavily wooded area off of Sabo Road near Westland Road in Mt. Pleasant Township, Pennsylvania State police said. Washington County Coroner Timothy S. Warco and state police responded to the scene near Route 519, but no information about the person's identity was available. A state trooper at the scene would not say if the body was of a Baldwin Borough woman who has been missing since late Wednesday afternoon. State police said that they plan to hold a press conference later on Thursday at their barracks in Washington.

Motorist Helped Save Missing Woman

A Mt. Lebanon man saw the 82-year-old woman driving erratically near The Galleria.

It didn’t take long for Andy Booth to realize something was very wrong Wednesday night when he saw a black Dodge Charger weaving in and out of traffic on Washington Road near The Galleria. The Mt. Lebanon resident was heading home around 6:30 p.m. when he saw the driver in front of him straddling the white lines, bobbing from one lane to the other and hitting the curb. “The whole thing just looked odd,” Booth said, contrasting it from other careless drivers he’s seen around town. “I thought she was having a medical problem or something.
