Ex-Miss PA Sheena Monnin Launches Defense Fund, Says $5 Million Arbitration Isn’t Final

The local beauty queen posts a new video explaining some of her actions—including why she called the Miss Universe organization “trashy.”

Sheena Monnin, the ex-Miss Pennsylvania USA from Cranberry, is continuing to fight back against the $5 million lawsuit Donald Trump filed against her last year after she claimed the Miss USA pageant was rigged. This time, she’s saying the arbitration judgment made against her in December has yet to be confirmed. “There was an arbitration judgment decision made on Dec. 10, 2012. The judgment was sent to the Southern District Court of New York to be affirmed,” she said in a statement to Patch. “The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced they had ‘won’ a $5 million judgment against me on December 18th. It is apparent that the MUO knew that the arbitration judgment had NOT been confirmed when they released the news to the public.” …

I am not financially able to continue to fight this on my own.” After reaching the maximum capacity 5,000 friends on her Facebook page, the beauty queen also has created the Sheena Monnin Support Page. As of Wednesday the site had close to 1,500 Facebook likes. Donald Trump Wins Multi-Million Legal Battle Against Local Beauty Queen

Former Miss Pennsylvania USA contestant Sheena Monnin quit after alleging the pageant was rigged

Miss Universe co-owner Donald Trump has made good on his threats to sue for “massive damages” against a former Miss Pennsylvania USA contestant from Cranberry who claimed the pageant was rigged. According to the New York Post, Trump won a $5 million legal decision against Sheena Monnin, who turned in her sash and crown just days after the Miss USA 2012 pageant aired in June. In statements made on her Facebook page, Monnin said the televised contest was fixed. A fellow contestant saw a list of the top five women in the pageant before judging began on the show, she claimed. She also called the organization fraudulent, lacking in morals and trashy. Trump immediately responded, branding Monnin, who did not place in the pageant’s semifinals, a…

Miss PA Teen USA Takes Over Sheena Monnin Appearances

Julia Belechak will take over duties for Monnin, who resigned as Miss Pennsylvania USA in June.

Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA will be pulling double duty for the rest of the year. Cranberry resident Julia Belechak will take over the appearance duties of Sheena Monnin, who resigned as Miss Pennsylvania in June. Monnin, also of Cranberry, made headlines last month when she accused the Miss USA pageant of being rigged. In statements on her Facebook page, Monnin said a fellow contestant in the competition saw a list of the top five women in the pageant before judging began on the show. The 27-year-old also called the organization fraudulent, lacking in morals and trashy. The move earned her the ire of outspoken mogul—and Miss Universe co-owner—Donald Trump, who publicly threatened to sue Monnin. The Miss Universe Organization, which runs …

Miss PA Sticks To Story, Says Trump Lawsuit Won’t Stop Her

The 27-year-old beauty queen from Cranberry appeared on the 'Today' show Friday morning.

Despite threats of a lawsuit from Miss Universe co-owner Donald Trump, former Miss Pennsylvania USA Sheena Monnin said she wouldn’t back down from her claims that Sunday’s televised Miss USA was fixed. “I feel prepared to continue to pursue the truth,” the 27-year-old beauty queen said during an appearance Friday morning on NBC’s Today show. “I know what I heard and I know what I in turn witnessed come true.” Monnin, of Cranberry, made headlines this week when she turned in her title and claimed, in two statements on her Facebook page, that a fellow contestant in Sunday’s competition saw a list of the top five women in the pageant before judging began on the show. She also called the organization fraudulent, lacking in morals and trashy. …

Miss USA Pageant Insiders Weigh in on Sheena Monnin's Accusations

Plus, who will fill Monnin’s high heels? And what did Donald Trump recently demand of the Cranberry resident? The answers may surprise you.

Although he has worked closely with Sheena Monnin since she won the Miss Pennsylvania USA title in December, Randy Sanders, director of the state’s Miss USA pageant, says he can’t support her recent allegations against the organization that crowned her. “I found her to always be a very thoughtful person,” he said Wednesday. “I was a bit surprised that she announced so early after the conclusion of the pageant her resignation. I wish her well, but I cannot agree with her reasoning.” Monnin, of Cranberry, made headlines this week when she accused the Miss USA pageant, which aired Sunday, of being rigged. The move earned her the ire of outspoken mogul—and Miss Universe co-owner—Donald Trump, who threatened to sue Monnin Wednesday during an …
