Wise Women Raise More Than $1,000 for Domestic Violence Services
'Strong for the Holidays' event benefited Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA.
A roomful of Wise Women from across the South Hills and beyond helped to raise more than $1,000 to help domestic violence victims and children who seek assistance from Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA during the first “Strong for the Holidays” event that took place last month. Attendees of the event, hosted by Upper St. Clair resident Kim Epp Frenette on behalf of an e-Journal she launched last year called Wise Women of the South Hills, also collected three boxes of necessity items such as toiletries, socks and small gifts for women and children, who seek shelter at DVSSP. “The Wise Women website is all about inspiring, energizing and connecting women.
