Thousands of Counterfeit Merchandise Seized at Trader Jack’s Flea Market

Three separate vendors were busted on Sunday morning.

Collier Township police seized thousands of dollars in knock-off merchandise and pirated movie DVDs from three separate vendors at Trader Jack’s on Sunday morning. Police said they were called to the flea market off Steen Road shortly before noon Sunday after receiving a report of a man selling hundreds of pirated DVDs. They seized the DVDs and $180 in cash from the vendor. Investigators said they plan to cite Kevin Walker, 50, of Pittsburgh, and a juvenile male with illegally selling the merchandise. While there, police officers noticed another vendor hurriedly putting away his merchandise before he finally ran away from the flea market. Three police officers from Collier Township and Bridgeville are being hailed as heroes for stopping a woman from leaping to her death off an Interstate 79 overpass.

Three police officers from Collier Township and Bridgeville are being hailed as heroes for stopping a woman from leaping to her death off an Interstate 79 overpass and possibly injuring unsuspecting motorists below. Sgt. Robert Ferrence and Officer Steve Oberle of Collier, and Officer Roger Itzel of Bridgeville were awarded a commendation by Collier Township officials Wednesday night for their efforts to save the woman and prevent others from being hurt. Collier police Chief Thomas Devin said the officers received a call on Oct. 24 of a woman sitting on the I-79 overpass along Prestley Road with her feet dangling over the edge. Police Break Up Fight at Chuck E Cheese

Police officers were called to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday night for an irate woman who was allegedly shouting obscenities around young children.

Numerous police officers were called to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday night for a fight in which an irate woman was allegedly shouting obscenities around young children. Collier police said they were dispatched to the restaurant in Chartiers Valley Shopping Center around 8 p.m. after receiving reports of a fight inside. The fight apparently had ended by the time police arrived, but officers did find a woman shouting obscenities. Police said they charged Timeia Thompson, 22, of Carnegie, with disorderly conduct. They did not say what triggered the incident or if anyone was involved. Arrests Made in LA Fitness Gym Locker Thefts

Two people were charged with a string of thefts from LA Fitness lockers.

Two people were arrested and charged with a string of thefts of belongings from LA Fitness gym lockers. Collier police said on Aug. 30 the gym’s employees stopped a man who they apparently saw stealing items out of gym lockers and held him until officers arrived. Police said they arrested Ryan Davin of South Park at the scene and charged him with theft, trespassing, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property and possession of drugs. They later found Brian Maceil, 24, of South Park, waiting in a car outside the gym and accused him of being an accomplice. Maceil faces charges of theft, criminal conspiracy and possession of drugs. Investigators said they had admitted to stealing items out of LA Fitness lockers before, but it was not clear…

Thief Plunders Unlocked Gym Lockers

Police said a thief stole car keys and valuables from five lockers at LA Fitness.

Five unlocked gym lockers at LA Fitness became a treasure trove of stolen goods for a thief on Jan. 9. Collier police said five people had car keys or valuables stolen from their lockers because they didn’t secure them at the gym located inside Great Southern Shopping Center. One person told police that he left his keys in his locker, and returned to his car to find $300 missing with the keys sitting inside. Another person told police a black backpack was taken with his keys, although nothing was missing from his car. Police said another man told them that his Nike “Jordan” jacket and shirt were taken from his locker. Elderly Motorist Crashes Into Kmart

Man was driving in the Chartiers Valley Shopping Center when he crashed into the big box retailer.

An elderly motorist who apparently failed at least two driving tests in the past month crashed into the front of Kmart. Collier police said Eugene Falvo, 83, of Castle Shannon, drove straight into the big box retailer in Chartiers Valley Shopping Center shortly before 8 a.m. Friday. Witnesses told police the man never used the brakes or tried to turn away from the concrete exterior. He was confused and disoriented when police arrived on the scene. “He had no idea where he was,” Collier police Officer Bill Oslick said. “He was confused.” He said Falvo was taken by ambulance to St. Clair Hospital with minor injures. Police said the man had failed an eye test and two driving tests in the past month and was supposed to be re-tested again. …
