What is closed and open in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Monday is the 25th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. There are a number of businesses and organizations in and around Upper St. Clair closed in observance of the holiday. There is no school for students in the Upper St. Clair School District. However, teachers and faculty members are still to report to work. Banks and the Wine & Spirits stores are closed on Monday. There are normal hours at the grocery stores. The Port Authority said it's running regular bus and T service. The Downtown service center is closed. The holiday will not delay garbage collection for any residents in Upper St. Clair.

What is closed for Christmas
There are a number of closings in and around Upper St. Clair in observance of the Christmas holiday: -Giant Eagle Market District in the South Hills closes at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and is closed on Christmas Day. -State liquor stores will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. -Municipal offices and banks are closed. -The Post Office will close at noon on Christmas Eve. Mail delivery will not be affected. -The Port Authority will operate on a normal scheduled Christmas Eve, The bus, T and Monongahela Incline will run on a holiday schedule on Christmas.
