PHOTOS: Bonefish Grill Has Something for Everyone

The new restaurant in Upper St. Clair is now open.

Bonefish Grill in Upper St. Clair is now open and has something for everyone. The restaurant chain is the first to open in the Pittsburgh area and is known for its fresh seafood. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer—tender, crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy, spicy (but not too spicy) sauce—is its most popular menu item. It's only $5 on Wednesdays. Customers can also try the Bang Bang Shrimp in a taco. Some of the other fish choices include Chilean sea bass, longfin tilapia and ahi tuna. Pair the fish with one of four sauces: warm mango salsa, chimichurri, lemon butter and pan Asian.  The kobe beef burger (must use two hands!) and Lily's Chicken—with goat cheese, sautéed spinach, artichoke hearts and a lemon basil sauce—are also very popular …

Roger, too bad you're so negative & not open to new experiences. I don't find their menu & prices offensive at all. Prices are comparable to other mid-range restaurants & the format (not using $ signs) is one used at other places. You must not get out much! I'm happy to have another dining alternative, albeit a chain. As for Olive Garden, are you kidding? Not my idea of good Italian food!   more ›

Additional Parking Approved

Norman Centre will get 22 more spaces to accommodate restaurant patrons.

Additional parking for Norman Centre has been approved. Upper St. Clair commissioners voted to allow expansion of the parking area to accommodate 22 more spaces in the office-retail complex, off Route 19. A retaining wall, guardrail and additional buffer features also are in the plans. An as-yet-unnamed restaurant is taking the place of longtime tenant Pearl Vision, requiring more parking. “We’re not at liberty to make an announcement as to who that is,” Robert Sapsara, vice president of Norman Centre management company Crossgates Inc., told commissioners at their meeting on Sept. 4.
