'Mom's Nite Out' Celebrated at South Hills Village on May 9

The event is free to enjoy.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, it's high time for moms to be pampered. On May 9, South Hills Village Mall will host a free event featuring relaxation and fun in honor of national "Mom's Nite Out," sponsored locally by Pittsburgh Magazine. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, entertainment and fashion and beauty services and will find information on mom-friendly organizations and events, all focused on rewarding mothers. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. in the mall's lower level north wing and will last until 8 p.m. South Hills Village officials and their event partners will treat moms with makeovers from Sephora and the entire Macy's cosmetics department and with massages from Massage Envy. 12-12-12 Concert to Benefit Sandy Victims Airing on Multiple Channels, DVE Tonight

Some of the biggest names in music will play at a benefit concert on Wednesday. It will be shown on multiple TV stations and will air on DVE.

Huge names in music are lending their talents to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts at the "12-12-12" concert on Wednesday. Every penny sold from ticket sales will go directly to Sandy victims via the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which provides material, money and aid to local organizations that are serving families and individuals in the regions hardest hit by the storm, including over 200 Patch towns in New Jersey, in Connecticut and on Long Island. The all-star lineup includes Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney, with other artists to be announced.
