How to Get Free Pickup of Freon-Containing Products
Allegheny County will help recycle refrigerant-containing appliances for a limited time.
Funded by a $150,000 grant from the county’s Clean Air Fund, the Allegheny County Health Department is sponsoring a program that offers free pickup and recycling of refrigerant-containing appliances. The program is available for a limited time only and to Allegheny County residents only. The ACHD will pick up refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers and other household appliances that contain refrigerants, sometimes referred to as Freon.
