A tractor-trailer barreled through the concrete median on I-376 near Carnegie before crashing into cars and causing major traffic back-ups in both directions Friday morning.
Crews have reopened all lanes of the Parkway West four hours after a major crash closed the interstate in both directions near the Carnegie exit Friday morning. A tractor-trailer apparently barreled through the concrete median, crashing into two cars and causing major traffic back-ups in both directions, WPXI-TV reported. The crash happened shortly before 6 a.m. during the morning rush hour commute. It’s not known if anyone was injured in the crash. PennDOT workers could be seen working most of the morning trying to repair the concrete median. All lanes were reopened shortly before 10 a.m. Did you get stuck in the traffic? Because a car accident and downed power lines, Morrow Road has been closed. The closing is having significant impact on Upper St. Clair School District's afternoon transportation, particularly buses 135 and 146; however, other routes may also be impacted by traffic changes. Students who cannot be dropped off at their appointed bus stop are being taken back to their home school where they can be picked up or alternative transportation can be arranged. High school students will be taken back to the HS nut center. You can call the main phone number of your school to make arrangements for transportation.

Two cars collided in the midst of ongoing construction at the intersection of East McMurray and Center Church roads Monday morning.
There were no injuries Monday morning after two cars collided in the midst of ongoing construction at the intersection of East McMurray and Center Church roads in Peters Township. The construction is under way as a township effort to prevent common vehicle accidents. Crews are widening the roadways and adding a traffic signal. Just before 11 a.m., Stephanie A. Armstrong, 40, of Canonsburg, quickly accelerated her Volkswagen in the eastbound lane striking Jane B. Moffitt's BMW directly in front of her vehicle. Moffitt, 65, of McCandless Township, stopped for traffic before she was hit near the 300 block of East McMurray Road, according to Peters police. McLaughlin Run Road, between Morrow Road and Route 19, is closed as crews clean up the accident.
A truck crossed the center line and struck an Upper St. Clair Public Works front-end loader on McLaughlin Run Road Friday afternoon, according to Matthew Serakowski, township manager. McLaughlin Run Road is closed between Morrow Road and Route 19 as crews clean up the accident. Upper St. Clair Fire Chief Steve Moore said he expected the closure to affect rush hour traffic. Serakowski said neither driver was seriously hurt. The public works employee who was driving the front-end loader was taken to St. Clair Hospital by an ambulance. The driver of the T.A.
