As a representative of Justice Related Services and Allegheny County, I had the pleasure of workingRead More collaboratively with Magistrate Wyda on a weekly basis during his Preliminary Hearings. I respected him as a person and felt comfortable representing my clients in his courtroom. He treated me and my staff with dignity and respect and showed great respect for the services that we provide. He will be missed.

Rob Wyda was a great judge and a great friend of our family. My father and his father grew upRead More together in the coal mining town of Bobtown, PA. He married three members of our immediate family including my wife and me. A great loss for his district and a great personal loss.

The funeral was very sad. It was a nice service, but very sad for all who attended.

Through the miracle of the internet I am able to read this story about a man who I knew really as aRead More pre-schooler. Our father's were childhood friends, and the families got together when we were very young, but then without the kids later, so I only remember him as a preschooler. My memory of him was that he was a nice, gentle boy, easy to be with, and very smart! Just learned today of his passing, and although I am now 53, and it was probably about 49 years since I last saw him, I am saddened to learn of his premature passing. My heart goes out to his family.
