USC Official Makes Good on Super Bowl Bet

The sad days of February may be far behind, but there was a debt of honor to be paid.

Nearly four months after the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, the president of the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners made good on a bet he made with a Wisconsin mayor.

In February, Waukesha Mayor Jeff Scrima challenged Robert Orchowski to run or walk the point differential of the game's outcome in miles.

The Packers won by six points, 31-25, leaving Orchowski with a long six-mile jog.

Orchowski visited the on Thursday night to pay up on his bet. The six miles were equivalent to 48 laps around the indoor track.

It took some coaxing, but being a good sport, Orchowski even wore a cheesehead for part of his run.

Orchowski also donated $100 for the Special Needs Active Programs (SNAP) organized for local children at the CRC.

"The Packers are a good team. The Steelers had their moments," Orchowski said. "We're going to gear up and hope for another good season this fall if there is one."
