USC Native Among Atlantic 10's Basketball Legends

The former Duquesne University forward will be honored March 16.

Former Duquesne forward and Upper St. Clair native Beth Friday Bovay is among the inaugural Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Legends to be honored March 16 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn prior to the A10 Conference finals.

Consisting of 16 former women's basketball student-athletes, the group is being recognized for their contributions to their institutions' basketball programs.

Bovay played basketball for Duquesne from 2000 to 2003. She is one of two Duquesne women's players to have her jersey number retired, and is the only player in school history to score 1,000 points and record 1,000 rebounds.
