Upper St. Clair Native Signs NHL Contract

Vincent Trocheck agrees to a three-year deal.

native Vincent Trocheck, 18, signed an entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers Monday, according to a release.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound center in June.

Trocheck left Upper St. Clair at age 13, and played for the prestigious Little Caesars program before joining the Ontario Hockey League’s Saginaw Spirit.

Trocheck led all Spirit skaters and ranked T-9th among all OHL players with 85 points (29-56-85) in 65 regular-season games in 2011-12. He also added 11 points (5-6-11) in 12 playoff games for Saginaw this season.
