Upper St. Clair Football Seniors Support Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

The team members helped to clean up the Pittsburgh Blues Festival at Hartwood Acres Park.

It takes a big man to give back—17 of them, in this case, and literally.

The senior members of the Upper St. Clair High School football team put their muscles to good use this past month when they provided help to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

The seniors' job? Help to clean up the 19th annual Pittsburgh Blues Festival, which took place from July 19 to 21 at the Hartwood Acres Park amphitheater. All proceeds from the festival benefit the community food bank, and cleanup crews like the ones provided by the football team allow the festival to happen.

Specifically, the football players pulled up fence posts around the perimeter of the festival grounds, returned the posts to storage and stacked tables.

Participating were J.J. Conn, David Dougherty, Ben Haus, Ben Huss, Morgan Lee, Steve Mackowick, Mike McGuire, Terry McLinden, Zack Morris, Trevor Morrow, Giuseppe Orsini, Kyle Page, Joe Pateras, Robert Plummer, Mac Pope, Joe Repischak and Ben Southorn.
