Sunday Heritage Market --Artist/Farmer Market--at the Historic Pump House,an interesting remnant of Pittsburgh's steel history

Sundays at the Historic Pump House at the Waterfront, Hrs: 10-2.

Every Sunday is different, but you can find some great artsy items such as jewelry, photography, tie-dye clothing, fiber arts, homemade jellies and biscotti and other foods, handpicked fruits and veggies, and entertainment....AND check out this great building which survived the razing of much of Pittsburgh's steel history.  Look down inside the Pump House to see the large pumps which sent the cooling waters of the Monongahela River to the nearby steel mills. Old steel mill artifacts are found here. The Carrie Furnace steel mill can be seen across the river, too!

Great new stretch of biking/walking trail around the bend! Many bikers check out the Pump House every Sunday. Plenty of parking.
