3rd Annual Field of Dreams Games

Alumni campers who attended the Pittsburgh Pirates Fantasy Camp in Bradenton, Florida this past January will reunite on Friday, May 25th, 2012, at the USC Community & Recreation Center Complex for a day of baseball. Dubbed "The Field of Dreams Games" because the baseball fields were literally carved out of a cornfield on the former Mayview Farm property, the 3rd annual event will begin at 10 am, with two additional games to follow at 1:30 pm & 5:00 pm. Pirates Fantasy Campers will be wearing their official Pirates uniforms while playing against their former teammates, and proceeds from their entrance fees will be donated to Pirates Charities. In 2011, over $1200 was raised to benefit the new Miracle Field beside the "Field of Dreams" that will be dedicated on Saturday, May 26th.
