Commissioners Honor Upper St. Clair Wrestling

Wrestling coaching staff and silver medalist receive certificates of achievement.

The Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners recognized the Upper St. Clair High School wrestling team's coaching staff and wrestler Mackenzie McGuire on Monday night.

McGuire, a high school junior, won the silver medal in the 119-pound weight class at the PIAA Championships. He finished his season with a 34-3 record and captured the southwest regional title. 

McGuire is the first Upper St. Clair High School wrestler to advance to the state finals since 1995.

The commissioners also gave certificates of achievement to the wrestling coaching staff which includes head coach Emil Deliere; assistant coach Scott Holtkamp; assistant coach Dom Frollini; volunteer assistant coach Ryan Logue; and volunteer assistant coach Anthony DeBartolo.
