Upper St. Clair Expands Summer School Offerings
From enrichment to remediation, it's the first time the district has offered this many choices for students.
Upper St. Clair students can begin enrolling in summer school on Monday, March 18.
The summer program has been expanded this year to provide students with a variety of choices. It's the first summer the district has offered this level of programming.
"It's a bit of an experiment to see how many students enroll in enrichment or remediation," Upper St. Clair administor Judith Bulazo told the school board at its last meeting. "We hope many students take advantage."

"I was really excited to see the expansion of summer school," said school Director Rebecca Stern. "To offer students real, interesting choices other than just P.E."
The district is partnering with some outside agencies—such as Zulama, Carnegie Mellon University and Invent Now—and utilizing its own staff.
