Second Annual Gala Preparations Under Way

The Upper St. Clair School District fundraiser will be held on Oct. 20.

Preparations are under way for the Second Annual "Celebrate Our Schools" Gala on Oct. 20.

All proceeds from the event will benefit technology for the district both in the classrooms and on the field. Money will be used to invest in new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) labs at the and purchasing iPads. The funds will also be used to buy a new PA system for Panther Stadium, which some say it desperately needs.

was held during homecoming weekend. The date was changed because it conflicted with Saturday night's homecoming dance.

This year, the will be recognized for being chosen for the WPIAL Hall of Fame.

Organizers will also recognize the 1988 team, who may have also won the state championship if it weren't for the school board voting against paying for the trip.

Another change this year, local band Moscow Mule will be playing live music throughout the night.
