Parents Encouraged to Attend Open Houses

Students will be dismissed early on open house days.

The annual open house events for elementary, middle and high schools in Upper St. Clair begin tomorrow.

, , and elementary schools will welcome parents on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. Elementary students will have an early release from school on that day at 12:45 p.m.

Recently-renovated will host its annual open house on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. On the same night, a Boyce Instrumental Parents “Informance” orientation meeting will be offered at 6:15 p.m. in the Boyce band room to share information about the band and string programs. Early dismissal for Boyce students on Sept. 20 will be at 1:15 p.m.

Open house for the recently renovated will occur on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. with an early release for students at 1:15 p.m.

The will open its doors for parents on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. On the same day, the high school students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patrick T. O’Toole encourages all parents to attend their designated open houses.

"Open house is an excellent occasion for parents to see and hear first-hand our focus on Customizing Learning, Nurturing Potential…Delivering Excellence for all students," O'Toole said in a statement.

The PTAs and PTSO plan is to distribute their 2012-13 student directory to parents during the homeroom of open house.
