Local Wrestling Event to Raise Money for Injured Marine

The fundraising event will be held during the team's match against Peters Township Wednesday and will benefit a hometown hero.

The Peters Township wrestling team will be hosting the "Match for a Marine" event Wednesday during their match against Upper St. Clair to honor an American hero.

All proceeds from the event—including admissions and concession sales—will
be donated to a charitable organization that has been set up by the local VFW to
directly benefit Marine Cpl. Doug Vitale.

Vitale was a wrestler at Kiski and his wife is a graduate of Peters Township High
School. He was seriously injured while on patrol in Afghanistan.
