Host Families Needed for Upper St. Clair Thai Student Exchange Program

Four teachers and 49 students will be coming into town.

Organizers of the Thai student cultural exchange program with the Upper St. Clair School District are looking for residents in or near Upper St. Clair to be a host home for one or two Thai students.

Nearly 50 students and four teachers will be arriving April 11, and a key component of the program is the experience of the Thais living with an American family.

"The benefits of this program are great and very rewarding for you and your family. You do not need to have high school children in order to host these students or their teachers. You will receive an appreciation check, opportunities for free field trips and concert and other activities, and much more. And, if you do have children in high school who would like to travel to Thailand, you could receive additional benefits," the announcement said.
