High School Choir Collaborates with Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra—And You're Invited

It will be an 'exhilarating evening of extraordinary music.'

Upper St. Clair and Moon Area high school choirs—in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra—will proudly present Carmina Burana, at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the Moon Area High School auditorium.

Twenty-four poems in Carmina Burana were set to music by Carl Orff in 1936. Orff's composition quickly became popular and a significant piece of the classical music repertoire. The epic opening and closing movement, "O Fortuna," has been used in numerous films.

Mitchell Warmbein, a USCHS alumni will be performing as a guest soloist along with an alumna from Moon.
