Kindergarten Connection

This year, the PTA is proud to sponsor the first annual Kindergarten Connection! This idea grew from an ice cream social that occurred at one of our Streams parent’s homes a few years ago. At the PTA meeting on May 8, membership voted to sponsor this as a fully funded PTA event.

All incoming Streams Kindergarteners will be invited to attend Kindergarten Connection on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rec Center on McLaughlin. The purpose of this occasion is to allow the incoming Kindergarteners and their families the opportunity to meet each other before the start of school. A take home a craft, a frozen treat from Rita’s as well as simple activities are planned.

Through this social, we will also be setting up play dates in the park for this class throughout the summer at Wiltshire Park. Moving forward, this will become an annual event for each new incoming Kindergarten class. This will also become a PTA committee chaired by the PTA President and Vice President with committee members consisting of parents of incoming kindergarteners.
