Benefits of a Whole Food Diet

Find out what's happening in Upper St. Clairwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Study after study show, if you want to live a vital life, full of energy, comfortable with your weight and aging healthfully, you must adopt a whole food diet!  A whole foods diet uses fruits, vegetable, grains and proteins in their natural state.  Nothing complicated, nothing processed.

Is your family is nugget crazy and peels open boxes rather than peeling fruit? Or do you just want to get a jump start on feeling better and eating well this year? Then join Kathy Gillen, wellness coach and nutritional consultant, for a two week session where you’ll experience the benefits and taste the goodness of a whole foods diet.  Kathy will share recipes, quick tips, sneaky tactics and nutritional information.  You will also enjoy samples in these sessions.  As a mother of four, Kathy understands how difficult it can be to feed our busy families nutritious meals.

An overview of the dismal state of the standard US diet will be discussed in week one.  While learning fun facts you’ll also enjoy recipes that include fruits and grains.  The second week’s session will present the healthy benefits of a whole food diet.  This session will highlight vegetables and proteins.  Part cooking class, part nutritional seminar, everyone will gain something from this lively session.
