“A Biography of the American Flag” Author Talk with Marc Leepson

Join the History Center on Thurs., March 22, for an in-depth journey into the history of Old Glory with renowned author, historian, and journalist Marc Leepson, as he provides a special public presentation on his book, “Flag: An American Biography.”

Leepson, a guest curator for the History Center’s major exhibition, Stars & Stripes: An American Story, is the author of seven books and has served as a guest writer for numerous national publications, including the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.

He has also penned several entries related to American history for the Encyclopedia Americana, as well as other reference publications. A Vietnam Veteran, Leepson has been arts editor and columnist for The VVA Veteran, a newspaper published by Vietnam Veterans of America, since 1986.

Leepson will sign copies of his book following the presentation and the Stars & Stripes exhibit will be open to visitors from 6:00-8:30 p.m.

Admission is FREE to this public event.
