From Your Patch Editor: Thank You, Readers

It has been a pleasure serving you.

As Henry VIII said to each one of his six wives, "I won't keep you long." But if you have a few minutes today, please read my goodbye letter to you.

Tuesday, Oct. 15, will be my last day as the editor of the UpperSt.Clair Patch. Patch is reorganizing, and the company's plan no longer includes having local editors oversee its Pittsburgh-area sites.

Although I have only been covering the happenings of Upper St. Clair Township for Patch for a few months, I have, through doing so, met some amazing people who have allowed me to tell their amazing stories—some bad, some good, but all worth telling nevertheless.

I truly appreciate your readership, and I strongly believe in the importance of local news. My only regret is that I am no longer able to provide that for you in this format.

Although I will not be overseeing this website, the USC Patch is not going away. Patch officials are reviewing alternatives for some of their sites, including this one, so you will still be able to use Patch to post your blogs, events and announcements.

I hope to not be a stranger. If you see me out and about, please say hello. I can introduce you to my two favorite people—my daughter and my wife.

Thank you, all.
