Readers' Choice: The Best Fish Fry Winner Is ...

This is Upper St. Clair Patch's second week looking for the readers' favorite choice!

Congratulations to St. Louise De Marillac Church for winning Upper St. Clair Patch's !

As of 11:30 a.m. Friday, St. Louise received 37 percent of the vote. St. Bernard Church in Mt. Lebanon came in second place with 21 percent of the vote.

Below is a list of the popular fish frys in the Upper St. Clair area:

  • in Upper St. Clair: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Options include fried fish sandwiches, baked fish, soup, shrimp, crab cakes, pierogies, pizza, macaroni and cheese, french fries, haluski and a variety of desserts. Customers can eat in or take out.
  • St. Bernard Church in Mt. Lebanon: 4 to 7:30 p.m. The newly-expanded menu includes homemade gumbo, baked fish, soft pretzels and fish tacos.
  • in Bethel Park: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Along with fried fish, baked fish and different varieties of pasta will be featured each week are available. Customers can eat in or take out.
  • St. Joan of Arc Church in South Park: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The menu includes fried fish, baked fish, baked salmon with a dill hollandaise sauce, fried shrimp, crab cakes, pizza, Italian stuffed shells, tuna noodle casserole and shrimp po' boys. There are also lunch specials available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers can eat in or take out.
  • St. Valentine Roman Catholic Church in Bethel Park: 4 to 7:30 p.m. The menu inclues fried fish, baked fish, fried shrimp, pasta, pierogies, New England clam chowder and more. For takeout, please call 412-851-9176, 2 to 6:30 p.m.
  • in McMurray: Lunch is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes fried fish and soup specials. Dinner is 4 to 7:30 p.m. and includes fried fish, baked fish, macaroni and cheese, fried shrimp, pizza, pierogies and haluski.
