USC Looking at Three Firms to Draft Comprehensive Plan

Interviews open to the public are scheduled for Thursday night.

The Upper St. Clair Planning Commission will conduct three 45-minute interviews starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to determine which company should draft the township's 2015 comprehensive plan.

Township staff narrowed interested firms to the following three:

Environmental Planning and Design was hired by Upper St. Clair to draft its last comprehensive plan.

The planning commission will make a recommendation on which firm the township should use at the meeting on March 21. The board of commissioners will then take a final vote.

"This is the community's long range plan for land use, transportation, parks, open space and capital improvements. The process will include participation from community groups and residents to create vision for future development and improvements in the township," said Director of Community Development Scott Brilhart.
