Upper St. Clair Recognizes Athletes and Boyce Mayview Park

The Boyce Mayview Park and local athletes received awards during the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners meeting.

A number of people and groups were recognized during the Board of Commissioners meeting on May 7.

  • Lauren Imgrund, Ashley Rebert, and Kathy Frankel, from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, presented the Green Park Award for Boyce Mayview Park.
  • The was recognized for : Aquatics Excellence in Programming: Plunge with the Pumpkins; Maintenance Program or Technique: Facility Recycling and Green Earth Building; Specific Purpose Publication and Promotion: “4-in-4;" and Unique Forms of Advertising and Promotion: Scratch-and-Win Ticket.
  • received a proclamation recognizing his wrestling accomplishments. The senior won his second WPIAL AAA title, the PIAA AAA Wrestling Championship and was selected to headline the Pennsylvania team for the all-stars of the Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic.
  • received a certificate of achievement for taking sixth place in the PIAA AAA Wrestling Championship, capturing a bronze medal at the WPIAL AAA Wrestling Championship, earning a 4.6 GPA at Upper St. Clair High School and winning the KDKA Extra Effort Award.
  • Brittany Dudzinski received a certificate of achievement for capturing the WPIAL AAA Swimming Championship in the 100-yard backstroke, for taking third place at the PIAA Championship in the 100-yard backstroke and assisting her team to third place in the PIAA Championship in the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Natalie Johnsen received a certificate of achievement for winning the WPIAL AAA Swimming Championship in the 100-yard butterfly and assisting her team to third place in the PIAA Championship in the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Ryan Dudzinski, Alex Hardwick, Nikhil Narayanan and Andy Tomiczek all received certificates of achievement for capturing first place at the WPIAL AAA Swimming Championship in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
  • Nate Novak was also recognized for filling in for Nikhil Narayanan in the 200-yard freestyle relay at the PIAA AAA Swimming Championship. The group placed second.
