Upper St. Clair Board Eyes Up Next Park Renovation

After the major makeover at the Municipal Park, the Upper St. Clair Parks and Recreation Board are focused on their next project: Wiltshire Park.

"This is a well-used park with high visibility in the township, and I believe it is important to take care of this resource," Chairman of the USC Parks and Recreation Board Roger Hartung said.

The Upper St. Clair Public Works Department made some recommendations to the board based on the deterioration of several items at the park, including the basketball courts' surface, the roller hockey rink, the playground equipment and the oldest of three bridges.

The board is unanimously in support for addressing the items identified by public works.

The specific improvements at the park will not be known until the commissioners determine how much money should be used for the work, according to Hartung.
