Upper St. Clair 2013 Primary Election Results

The unofficial results from Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary are in.

The most heated race directly affecting Upper St. Clair was the race for Allegheny County Council District 5. Sue Means (R-Bethel Park) defeated Krista Harris (R-Mt. Lebanon) with 63 percent of the Republican vote. No one ran on the Democratic ticket.

Louis Mafrice, Jr., Frank Kerber, Harry Kunselman and Buffy Hasco won the four open seats on the Upper St. Clair School Board. They ran unopposed.

Daniel Paoly won the Upper St. Clair commissioner at-large seat. He ran unopposed.

Rex Waller won the Upper St. Clair commissioner ward 2 seat. He ran unopposed. The current commissioner of ward 2, Donald Recktenwald, did not run for the position.

Mark Christie won the Upper St. Clair commissioner at-large seat. He also ran unopposed.

Voter turnout was low across Allegheny County. Only 18 percent of registered voters went to the polls on Tuesday.
