Trophy Case Helps Boy Scout Earn Eagle Ranking

Commissioner Russell Del Re presented Christopher Ravasio, of Scout Troop #366, the highest award issued by the Boy Scouts at the Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners meeting April 2. The Eagle Scout award represents the most advanced level of achievement in skill, service and leadership in Boy Scouts.

The senior earned the new rank after designing and building a trophy case to showcase the high school's music department's awards and accolades. He led 20 volunteers in the project, which took about 176 hours to complete.

Ravasio said he's also involved in the Upper St. Clair recreation soccer program, the ski club, plays the saxophone in the marching band, wind ensemble and jazz ensemble, takes piano lessons, and is enrolled in several AP classes.
