Township Officials Honor Upper St. Clair Library

Upper St. Clair commissioners honored the township's library for its outstanding staff and amenities.

Upper St. Clair commissioners honored the township’s library for its outstanding staff and amenities.

A proclamation was presented to library director Helen Palascak during the board’s Monday night meeting.

The township officials were celebrating National Library Week a little early, which runs from April 14 to 20.

“I have two little kids who adore the library,” Commissioner Daniel Paoly said. “I’ve come to firmly believe that that library is a key asset to the community.”

Palascak thanked the commissioners for their support and called it “special” to receive the proclamation.

“We are a gem in Allegheny County,” Palascak said. “We’re one of the biggest and best in the county.”
