Traffic Plan Delayed for Development at Former Consol Property

The developer's traffic engineer wants more time assessing the former Consol property development's traffic plan now that Target has opened across Route 19.

The traffic engineer, David E. Wooster and Associates, Inc., are taking more time assessing the former Consol property development’s traffic plan now that Target has opened across Route 19.

The township’s planning commission decided to table the application during its March 21 meeting.

The traffic engineers wants more information about the entrance at Route 19 now that the Target opened at South Hills Village Mall. The main entrance to the store leads out on Route 19 directly across from the former Consol property.

Once the developer's traffic engineer submits the study, the township's traffic engineer, Trans Associates, will review the plan.

The demolition of the office complex at Route 19 and Fort Couch Road began last October. and various residential units on 28 acres.
